Spend a few hours immersed in the colour and beauty of dahlias at Wirral Flower Farm. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have dahlias growing in your garden, this hands-on workshop will help you get more from these incredible flowers. We'll cover the practical skills you need to grow healthy, productive plants, alongside the opportunity to pick your own blooms and learn how to arrange them into a beautiful hand-tied bouquet to take home. During the workshop, you'll: 🌸 Learn to grow dahlias – from planting your tubers to pinching out, feeding, watering and caring for your plants throughout the season. 🌸 Get more from your plants – understand how to encourage more flowers, when to harvest and how to get the best vase life from your blooms. 🌸 Pick your own dahlias – head into the flower field and choose your favourite colours and varieties to create your own selection of flowers. 🌸 Learn to arrange – discover how to condition your flowers and create a beautiful hand-tied bouquet to take home. This is a practical, relaxed workshop combining growing knowledge, time in the flower field and hands-on floristry. You'll leave with new skills, plenty of inspiration for your own garden and a bouquet you've picked and arranged yourself. No previous growing or floristry experience is needed, just a love of flowers! We can't wait to welcome you to the farm.
